A remake of Le bureau des légendes (2015)
I have to say that I was lucky enough to watch The Bureau a few years ago, and honestly, it’s probably one of the best things I’ve ever seen. Nothing up until that point was even remotely close to it. There’s a correlation between the two series, it’s clearly mentioned that it was "influenced" by it, but tbh I wasn’t expecting a plot like that.
You won’t regret it
Don’t get me wrong, the series so far is amazing, great cast, good cinematography, but it wasn’t anything I hadn’t already seen in the French version. It’s too early to tell how it will develop, but I highly recommend anyone who hasn’t seen The Bureau to watch it. After Fassbender played a professional assassin in David Fincher’s The Hitman and seeing him in the cast, I knew right away that he was a great choice for the role.
It’s not something you would watch while riding your indoor bike
These types of series actually require a certain amount of concentration while watching them, so that you can keep up with all the characters in the plot and the little details about them. Some would even consider them slow, maybe even boring, but it’s these characteristics and complex personal struggles that the characters have, plus the slow build-up of tension, that makes them great in my opinion. This type of series, which you either love or don’t like at all, has no middle ground.
