Narrative
It follows Rupert Campbell-Black and Tony Badingham as they have a long-standing rivalry that comes to a head. Coincidentally, Aidan Turner has previously filmed at Chavenage House (The Priory in Rivals). The same filming location was also used to portray Trenwith House in the 2015 BBC TV adaptation of Poldark. I really enjoyed this series, I watched the whole thing in two days. I couldn’t pick one character that stood out, all the actors did a fantastic job. I thought their facial expressions and delivery of the dialogue really added to the story. As a fan of the 80s, the set, costumes and of course the use of music were a fantastic bonus. Whoever was responsible for the music: you’re a genius. The timing of some of the songs was perfect. For me, the erotic scenes could have been less explicit, so I give it 9 stars instead of 10. I really hope there’s a new season, I can’t wait to watch it!
